Children form an important place within the life of Mount Martha Uniting Church.
Mount Martha Uniting Church is committed to providing a place for children to gather, have fun together and grow as people. We are also committed to providing a safe place for children and adhere to children safety policies and procedures including all recommendations as handed down through the recent Royal Commission and Victorian legislation and our adult leaders hold current Victorian Working With Children Checks.
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
We are committed to including children in worship and nurturing them in Christian faith. At this time we are unable to offer a specific program on Sunday mornings for children but we welcome young folk in our services, seeking to include them in the service as well as provide activities. It is our hope to resume our Sunday mornings program for children soon.
SOMERS CAMP
“Somers” Camp is a annual regional camp for children run by the Uniting Church at the Lord Somers Campsite during the July school holidays. Somers Camp has been running for over 50 years and many adults today attest to it as a significant activity of their youth. Current campers will tell you that it’s a great week of fun and friendship. A number of young people and adults from Mount Martha Uniting Church assist with leadership at Somers Camp. You can learn more at the Somers Camp web site www.somerscamp.com.au
PLAYGROUP
Honeypots Playgroup commenced on 23rd October 2023 with loads of opportunities for parents and families to connect whilst the children participate in indoor/outdoor opportunities that the church site offers.
The playgroup runs every Monday morning during school terms from 9:30a.m. in the hall at Mt Martha Uniting Church.
