Mount Martha Uniting Church is committed to providing a place for young people to gather, have fun together and grow as people. We are also committed to providing a safe place for children and adhere to children safety policies and procedures including all recommendations as handed down through the recent Royal Commission and Victorian legislation. All our adult leaders hold current Victorian Working With Children Checks.
At this time there are no specific groups for youth at Mount Martha Uniting Church however occasional activities for young people are organised as part of the ongoing commitment of Mount Martha Uniting Church that young people are included and ministered to in the life and ministry of our church.
SOMERS CAMP
“Somers” Camp is a annual regional camp for young people in school grades 3 to 9 run by the Uniting Church at the Lord Somers Campsite during the July school holidays. Somers Camp has been running for over 50 years and many adults today attest to it as a significant activity of their youth. Current campers will tell you that it’s a great week of fun and friendship. A number of young people and adults from Mount Martha Uniting Church have assisted with leadership at Somers Camp. You can learn more at the Somers Camp web site www.somerscamp.com.au
